Pic shows: Kristina Karyagina A young anorexic woman who weighs just 2.7 stone has managed to eat something for the first time this year during the second day of her groundbreaking treatment. Kristina Karyagina, from the city of Barnaul in south-central Russia's Altai Krai region, reportedly weighs only 17 kilogrammes (2.7 stone). The 26-year-old was diagnosed with anorexia, but has no specialist care in her hometown. Fortunately, reality TV star and blogger Maria Kokhno used her 520,000 Instagram fan base to raise awareness and help Karyagina. Kokhno, who also suffered with anorexia, said: "I know what it is like when someone puts a meal in front of you and you cannot eat it. Even when you are aware that you are dying, you still cannot eat." The social media star found a doctor willing to treat Karyagina for free and helped raise 110,000 RUB (1,220 GBP) for Kristina and her mum to fly to Nizhny Novgorod in western Russia. Kokhno visited Karyagina on her second day of treatment and filmed the frail woman, who is hopefully now equipped to deal with her crippling illness. The clip shows the anorexic woman managing to eat some food. In another post, Kokhno is seen taking a leisurely stroll with her new friend, saying: "Today, Kristina ate for the first time since last year. She now knows that anything is possible, it is very important." Doctor Yan Goland, who agreed to treat Kristina for free, has not commented on Karyagina’s treatment yet. The kind doctor treated Kokhno when she was anorexic.
